Why Music is Huge in Nashville

Music’s heart is in Tennessee, and it belongs in Nashville specifically because of the long history of black Americans in this area.  Tennessee is built on soul and blues, and out of that came modern country, rock and roll, and so much more.

This foundation continued to grow and turned this area into the incredible industry center that it is today.  Thankfully the affordable local living, gorgeous surroundings, and endless bars and restaurants have made way for a thriving music scene.

How to Pack for Nashville

If you’re heading to Nashville, it can be hard to predict what the weather’s going to be like unless you look it up.  This area gets the best of every season, from hot and humid summers to cold and snowy winters, so it’s vital that you take the time to plan ahead and get to know when you’re going.

If it’s summer, even if you’re planning on bar crawling for most of it, bring some clothes that can handle the heat, and grab a bottle of sunscreen and insect repellent to keep any trouble off of your skin.  In the winter, bring a thick coat, some gloves, and a pair of boots you trust.  Although it doesn’t snow more than a couple of inches, the ice can be dangerous.
